Now entering its 17th Run in Auckland - the Big Day Out is the biggest outdoor music event of its kind and its highly anticipated each year! With the first annoncement now made, fans can start getting excited for summer and seeing some of the hottest bands in the music industry!
Headlining the 2010 BDO is British rock band Muse. Known for their energetic and extravagent live performances, Muse has created their own music genre funsion together progressive rock, classical music and electronica. With the recent release of their 4th Studio album 'the resistance' Muse are in no way slowing down the rock galaxy they have created. They may only be a three piece band but Matt Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme will be a musical highlight for fans and a major drawcard for 2010.
Other big names released in the first announcement include kings of indie rock Kasabian, pop queen Lily Allen, rapper Dizzee Rascal and Bristish electronica acts Calvin Harris and Groove Armada. For a full list of bands please go to the Big Day Out website.
