Big Day Out Sells Out Across Australia

The Big Day Out has recorded its fastest ever sell out of shows across Australia. Sydney, Gold Coast and Melbourne shows sold out in minutes and Adelaide and Perth following suit with website allocations selling out in record time and only a few tickets available from other outlets. As well as this, after the Sydney BDO sold out in minutes, for the second time in the Big Day Out's 18 year history, a second Sydney show was announced which also sold out in a day.

Big Day Out co-producer Ken West said, "Well I guess the recession is officially over. For our first Big Day Out in January 1992, the first day's sales were a grand total of 57 tickets. At the time I thought that was OK. It is unbelievable that over 250,000 tickets would be snapped up in a few days for the 2010 shows."
