Three hundred rubbish bins, 200 port-a-loos and over 100 labourers were essential elements for this year's 16th Big Day Out.
It was another great success for Mt Smart Stadium as around 45,000 fans turned up to enjoy the fantastic bands on Friday 16 January. A number of acts returned for a second time this year, including Muse, Dizzee Rascal, Lily Allen and Kasabian all performing on the main stages, with Dizzee Rascal drawing arguably the biggest crowd of the day!
Preparations began last October for the popular summer concert, which has taken place on the 3rd Friday of January since 1994 and is the largest event in the Mt Smart calendar. The BDO comes and goes so quickly and we're sure, like us, many fans are already anticipating the 2011 line-up.
