Mt Albert 32 v Papakura Sea Eagles 10

Mt Albert scored early in the first quarter, then another try in the 18th minute. Mt Albert continued their dominance with another two tries to lead 20-0. It wasn't until the 55th minute that Papakura scored their first points making it 20-4. Papakura started to play good footy towards to the end of the game with a final score of 32-10.

Howick Hornet 19 v Glenora Bears 12

Howick started strongly with a try in the first quarter of the game but the Bears hit back quickly to level it at 6-6. In the 33th minute Howick scored a run-away try, but missed the kick making it 10-6. After nearly 40 minutes with the Bears still to score they touched down and got the conversion to lead 12-10. In the 75th minute Howick were awarded a penalty right in front and levelled score 12-12. With 1 minute to go Glenora failed a field goal attempt to take the game into extra time. Howick were given a penalty right on full time but failed to convert. In the first half of extra time Howick slotted a goal to take the lead 13-12. A charge down try ensured a win for Howick - a great game which could have gone either way.

 

Mandron Masonry Phelan Shield Grand Final

Manukau 24 v Waiheke Rams 16

Manukau came out firing and scored first to get the game rolling. They scored again in the 33th minute making it 12-0. Waiheke came back and scored just before the first half making the score 12-6. Manukau put the first points on the board in the second half with a penalty kick. Both teams were there to win and got a little feisty with 3 sin bins in total. manukau hit back at them again taking out the win 24-16. An exciting game to watch with an awesome crowd.
